Virginia Commonwealth Struggles in Close 62-61 Loss To George Mason

In Fairfax on February 14th the Rams lost a close one to the Patriots, 62-61, in conference action.

A few stats in regard to the game: A year ago, Virginia Commonwealth went 1-1 against George Mason. Going back four years, the Rams are 4-4 against the Patriots including 0-3 at Patriot Center. Virginia Commonwealth has a winning record over George Mason going back to 1980, 29-18.

George Mason got the upper hand on Virginia Commonwealth by winning battles in offensive rebounding and assists.

George Mason was too much on the glass, with 11 offensive rebounds to only eight from Virginia Commonwealth. George Mason led an even offensive effort and put up 12 assists to nine by Virginia Commonwealth.

Bradford Burgess and Troy Daniels were the leading scorers against the Patriots with 13 points each. Darius Theus contributed six assists.
